Stereotypical Mexican accents aside, I’m afraid that this special Easter post is not being broadcast to you live via satellite, but rather dead via WordPress’s nifty pre-scheduled post[1] publication tool. See, I’m on vacation in sunny Puerto Rico this week, so I’m afraid I’m abandoning my traditional practice of penning an amusingly puerile polemic about the latest national holiday in favor of that preferred recourse for lazy weggers everywhere: the reprint.
My first act of sloth involves linking you to a newspaper column I wrote two years ago after being overwhelmed by an even-more-ridiculous-than-usual display of holiday commercialization. All I can say is: Sweet Jesus!
My second act of sloth involves linking you to last years’ Easter post, in which I wrote and recorded a God-awful song parody of the Charlie Daniels classic, “Devil Went Down to Georgia.” All I can say is: Show Me the Bunny!
